Partney School Children

Hot school meals1 - Lunch tables

Our school provides hot school meals using fresh produce some of which is grown at our school. All of our lunches are very healthy and cooked in our kitchen. Mrs Royle is our school cook and she works very hard to produce our lovely school meals.

All lunches cost £1.50 a day and can be paid for weekly although there is an opportunty to purchase them a term at a time for a discounted rate prior to the beginning of each term.
Please find the attached School lunch order form.

The whole school sit and eat lunch together in the school hall but when the weather is warm we sit outside under our new canopy. Grace is said before lunch everyday.

Free school meal children are provided with a hot school lunch daily and a packed lunch when they are on trips. If you are unsure whether your child is entitled to free school meals or you would like to apply please go to www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/FSMapply . The department can be contacted by email Free_School_Meals@lincolnshire.gov.uk or telephone 01522 782030 for further details.

The children in our school are all mixed up for lunch, hot and packed lunches, older and younger children together, so that they all get a chance to chat with children from other classes and Class One children can learn from the older children.

1 - KitchenOur school was recently awarded the Food for Life Bronze
1 - Jill ServingAward. This is a huge achievement as there are very few schools in Lincolnshire with this award.

Once a month we have a themed lunch day to promote our school lunches. We have had an Indian themed lunch, a Hawaiian themed lunch, a Bonfire Night themed lunch and many more. The children get the chance to dress up for these lunches.

These are a few examples of the meals that
Mrs Royle cooks in our kitchen:
• Cottage pie
• Roast chicken lunch
• Jacket potato and salad
• Pasta bolognaise
• Healthy fish and chips
• Pizza and salad

We also encourage parents to order the free school milk for children under five and then to purchase the milk at a reduced price for the older children.

Milk is provided through the organisation Cool Milk www.coolmilk.com. They can be contacted on 08001422972 or by email registration@coolmilk.com.
