Pupils filming at Alford Manor The Year 6 children have updated the Tennyson Exhibition at Stockwith Mill last year. The 18th Century poet Alfred Lord Tennyson was born and raised locally and a lot of his poems are about places we all know and love. We were filmed performing his poem, The Lady of Shalott at Alford Manor and were part of the Tennyson Exhibition there.

We visited the Jorvik Centre and the National Train Museum, explored the city and its castle walls and also visit Beningbrough Hall, a National Trust Property. On the journey to and from York, we visited and walked across the Humber Bridge.
